Hi All,

Today I was trying to install vCenter 5.5 on my Windows 2012 R2 server.

I used custom installation and successfully installed SSO, Web Client, Inventory Services.

Finally vCenter Server installation, Its hangs on ” Installing Directory Services…”

First time I am trying to install vCenter 5.5 on 2012 R2 server.

Finally find out the log from vminst.log with help of KB2061000

“C:Windowssystem32cmd.exe” /c start /w C:Windowssystem32ocsetup.exe DirectoryServices-ADAM /passive /norestart]”

In 2012 R2 server under system32 directory ocssetp.exe file is missing.

Copy the file from any Windows 2008 R2 server and paste in the 2012 R2  C:Windowssystem32 directory.

Try to run the vCenter installation setup again, It will work!!!
