Hi All,
Today I was trying to install vCenter 5.5 on my Windows 2012 R2 server.
I used custom installation and successfully installed SSO, Web Client, Inventory Services.
Finally vCenter Server installation, Its hangs on ” Installing Directory Services…”
First time I am trying to install vCenter 5.5 on 2012 R2 server.
Finally find out the log from vminst.log with help of KB2061000
“C:Windowssystem32cmd.exe” /c start /w C:Windowssystem32ocsetup.exe DirectoryServices-ADAM /passive /norestart]”
In 2012 R2 server under system32 directory ocssetp.exe file is missing.
Copy the file from any Windows 2008 R2 server and paste in the 2012 R2 C:Windowssystem32 directory.
Try to run the vCenter installation setup again, It will work!!!
